The first annual Morgan Stanley Prize for Excellence in Financial Markets is being established to reward excellence in financial research among doctoral students. Doctoral students from top Finance, Economic, and Mathematical Finance programs in the U.S. and Europe are invited to apply for the prize.
To apply, students must submit a finance paper by November 1, 2010. A panel of esteemed professors will read the papers and select five finalists. The finalists will then be invited to Morgan Stanley’s headquarters in New York City in December 2010 to present their papers to the panel and to Morgan Stanley employees. The winner will be announced over a celebration dinner that evening.

Winner: $25,000
First runners up: $10,000 each
Second runners up: $5,000 each
