Appear in a new TV Show

Do you remember the Raleigh Chopper bike?

Did your family work in a famous British bicycle factory?

Do you know why Nottingham was once a world famous hub of industry?

For more than 200 years Britain led the world in manufacturing; that heritage is all but lost.

Would you like to rediscover it? We want you to experience the hands on active history of Britain’s bicycle manufacturing past.

Wall to Wall Television – the makers of Who Do You Think You Are and Channel 4 are looking for University Of Nottingham students to take part in discovering Nottingham’s industrial heritage in a fun, entertaining and often very surprising way.

‘Made in Britain’ (working title) will take you back to Nottingham’s glory days – allowing you to experience what it would have been like to work in our great bicycle factories.

Perhaps you are thinking about setting up your own business?

Maybe you have a keen interest in the history of where you live?

Do you love the idea of creating the world’s best bicycles by hand?

Or maybe you want to explore the way your own relatives worked?

The programme will be filmed over 2 weeks in November 2010 and we would like to hear from you!
