The Associate Teachers' Programme runs for approximately six months and provides a basic HE teaching qualification which carries Higher Education Academy 'Associate' status. It is appropriate for staff who are carrying out some teaching at the University, but who are not on full academic contracts. This 'target group' thus includes some PhD students, contract researchers, Practitioner Health Lecturers etc. The ATP is likely to be attractive to staff who expect to continue teaching at HE level for some time, or who wish to build a career as an academic.
Participants must have taught for at least 30 hours by the time they start the ATP, and have ongoing teaching commitments.
Full details about the ATP (including the application form) are available on the Professional Development website at: pd.nottingham.ac.uk/eng/Learning-Teaching/Associate-Teachers-Programme
Enquiries about the ATP should be addressed to myself; mike.cook@nottingham.ac.uk ext. 68195 or Michelle Day, the course administrator: ext 15783 / michelle.day@nottingham.ac.uk
