Workshop: How to become a confident and effective networker

8 June 2010, 9:30am - 12:30am

B03, Sir Colin Campbell Building, Jubilee Campus

Some of you will be aware that the Graduate School in partnership with UNIEI and RIS has been running the Ingenuity workshop programme for researchers and employees from regional businesses. See www.nottingham.ac.uk/csc/framed-content.php?id=GSTIWP for details.

The last workshop in the series is a half day business networking workshop for University of Nottingham participants only.In today’s highly competitive world, being a confident and effective networker sets you apart from the crowd. You become more visible, always feel in control and will always create more opportunities than the average. Many researchers dread this vital activity. This workshop will help you overcome any fears and concerns. Our aim is to make it fun, motivational, and highly participative. The course is available to you FREE OF CHARGE.

The speaker, Will Kintish, has worked with the University of Nottingham before and comes highly recommended. You can learn more about Will and what he does at www.kintish.co.uk. Whilst the course has a business networking focus, much of what Will shares is applicable in other networking environments.

This workshop is only available to final year postgraduate research students and research staff. If you would like to attend this workshop, please book a place by visiting www.nottingham.ac.uk/csc/framed-content.php?id=GSTIWP
