This award is designed to recognise and celebrate examples of high quality or innovative teaching and/or the support of learning. Postgraduate research students who teach; either individually or as part of a group, are eligible to apply. Applicants will either have direct contact with students or support teaching through, for example, demonstrating in laboratory classes, leading seminars or tutorials, lecturing or assessing and giving feedback on student work.

How can I apply for an award?
Your application should be a written overview and discussion of your teaching which includes an explanation of how you have made a significant contribution to learning. You may wish to discuss any issues that you have faced in your teaching, subsequent change you made to your teaching practice and review any effects of this change. You should include an overview of how you are assessing your teaching work either through peer observation, SET results, teaching development seminars etc. Please note that you do not need to submit detailed evidence of all your teaching work and your application should be no longer than one page of A4. If you wish, you may submit an additional one page of A4 with a reference from your teaching mentor, module convenor or research supervisor.
